Rregjina Gokaj is an Associate Professor at the University "Aleksandër Moisiu" in Durrës, Albania. She received the title "Professor Associate" at the Uniersity "Aleksandër Xhuvani" Elbasan in 2015. She gained Ph.D. in World Literature (2012) after completing a Master degree in Cultural Studies (2009) at the University of Tirana in Albania.

Her second field of education is in psychology, where she obtained a diploma in Master of Science in "Clinical Psychology" (2022) after finishing Bachelor Studies in Psychology (2009) at the University of Shkodra, Albania.

Prof. assoc. dr. Rregjina Gokaj is also a Freelancer.

She runs her own office of Translation Services and Trainings, called SOFT SKILLS.

Italian is her working language in official translation as a Sworn Translator, acknowledged by the ministry of Justice of the Republic of Albania. She is equipped with Certificate of Security for materials considered "Secret/Reserved information".

She translates materials from/into English, as well. Her office offers official translation in collaboration with other accredited Sworn Translators for the respective languages, as follows:

German/ French/ Spanish/ Serbian - Croatian/ Macedonian/ Polish/ Swedish/ Norwegian/ Bulgarian/ Romanian etc.

Her academic career culminates with her appointing as Deputy Rector. She was also nominated as Institutional Coordinator for Accreditation and Quality Assurance of university study programs, as well as Head of the Foreign Languages Department at the Faculty of Education at her university.

Rregjina was enrolled in the CEEPUS program and had an exchange at the University of West Hungary in Szombathely, Hungary, where she taught in Master and Bachelor programs at the Faculty of Philology and Education.

She was a member of the Pestalozzi Programme Training Module "Strengthening Education for Democracy, STED" under the auspices of the Council of Europe, currently a member of the Pestalozzi community and pool of experts, certified as Trainer of Trainers as author of the Module "Betterfly with Democracy".

Rregjina has a long experience with civil society, being actively engaged in cross-cultural issues and activities. She believes that cultural boundaries are abstract, thus building cultural bridges among people is a good way to start apprehending and accepting the other. She is Executive Director of an NGO, Culture Lab of Unique Bonds, founded in 2018 in Albania, whose main objective is training and activities for youth in the field of culture and education.

Rregjina has been engaged and particularly interested in youth issues, supporting students in their personal development and helping them connect to the labour market. She is an "always-there" enthusiastic lecturer who promotes human rights, youth participation in decision making, and brain gain policies.

Rregjina was one of the volunteers at the first conference organised by the European Commission, "Balkan Connexion: Dialogue on a Western Balkan Alumni Association" (November 2016, Podgorica). Since then, she has been an active member of WBBA, having been elected as the Leader of the former Academic and Career Development Team. Actually she is a Board Member, as National Representative for Albania chapter.
